CT Virtual Simulator
CT -based virtual simulation addresses the simulation process by using a full 3D image dataset, software tools, and an external laser system for marking radiation therapy targets on a patient during the scan.
With CT, target localization is enhanced by the use of tissue density information. Beam projections are rendered in 3D to pinpoint target coverage, thereby sparing healthy tissue.
Our SOMATOM CT Scanners offer accurate virtual simulation with acquisition of thin slice & high resolution imager. This application accurately models all structures, radiation beams and linear accelerator parameters to optimize the simulation process.
